Seattle Studio

From our Seattle studio, we design contemporary homes shaped by the unique conditions of the Pacific Northwest, where architecture exists in constant dialogue with climate, landscape, and the natural environment. The region’s forests, mountains, and waterfronts create a unique opportunity to design homes that feel deeply integrated with the land they inhabit and the way people experience it.

Each project is approached through a process of listening, observation, and careful study. We consider how a home should respond to its site, how spaces interact with light and weather, and how materials can reinforce a connection to place. The result feels intentional, enduring, and grounded in the character of the Pacific Northwest.

What Defines Our Seattle Studio’s Work?

Distinctly PNW Contemporary

The Pacific Northwest has long been associated with a distinct architectural language shaped by its landscapes, climate, and connection to natural materials. Our work builds upon that foundation, utilizing a Northwest Contemporary approach that embraces simplicity, warmth, craftsmanship, and a close relationship to the surrounding environment. We continually look for opportunities to refine and push this language forward, creating spaces that feel deeply connected to place and distinctly contemporary in their expression.

Where do we work? While our studio is based in Seattle, our work extends throughout the greater Seattle metro area and across the broader Puget Sound region. We regularly work in communities including Mercer Island, Vashon Island, Whidbey Island, and the San Juan Islands, as well as throughout Eastern Washington, the Methow Valley, Suncadia and Tumble Creek, Wenatchee, and communities along the Columbia River. Our work continues wherever thoughtful, place-driven, and carefully crafted design are valued.
