"Living Big"

View Ridge Residence

When new owners purchased this View Ridge home, they knew that it had a great deal of potential.  It sat on a hill overlooking Lake Washington, but the rooms were dark, dated and disconnected, hiding the stunning views from the majority the house.  By relocating the kitchen and opening it up to the living and dining rooms, a single, large living space was created to capture natural light and views. The kitchen, with durable quartz counters and beautiful, rift-cut oak cabinets, became the hub of the house and is perfectly suited for both entertaining and everyday living.  Over-sized skylights were added for natural light, and the old brick-faced fireplace was refurbished using rich, contemporary materials.
