When new owners purchased this mid-century home, they knew that it had a great deal of potential. It sat on a hill overlooking the lake, but the rooms were dark, dated and disconnected, hiding the stunning views from a majority of the house. By re-imagining the home's organization, including relocating the kitchen and opening it up to the living and dining rooms, we created a single, large living space that captures natural light and views. The kitchen, with durable quartz countertops and beautiful, rift-cut oak cabinets, has become the hub of the house and is perfectly suited for both entertaining and everyday living. Over-sized skylights add ample natural light, and the old brick-faced fireplace has been transformed through rich, contemporary materials.
